Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

I just want to express my gratitude for this account. I am recovering from betrayal trauma in past relationships. My relationship now is anti-porn and we do proactive things about it, e.g. discussing your account. My healing journey has been easier since following you. Thank you for your work.

I live in one of the states that now requires you to age verify with your license for porn. I was at a show last night and one of the actors made a joke about porn and “pop-ups” assuming everyone would get it because there are now pop-ups requiring you to enter your info to access porn. NOBODY laughed. Not one person. He actually stopped the show and was like “wait…..do NONE of you watch porn?? Did you all seriously not get that joke??? What are you doing if you aren’t watching porn? Just…..fucking each other???” The audience was like “well….yeah. It’s more fun.” I was very impressed and pleased to be in a theater full of people so far removed from watching the violation of other humans that a bad porn joke went right over everyone’s head. The tides are changing, and y’all are a huge part of that. Thank you for normalizing not watching porn.

Thanks for your work, guys. The beginning of the pandemic was rough for me—I really struggled with pornography. I was doing research about it and came to your Instagram page, which led me to the podcast. I listened to like two episodes and, no word of a lie, I haven’t watched porn in at least eight months now. I can’t do it on my own, so finding your podcast was amazing. Thanks, guys.

This podcast talks about the reality of the influences of porn and has created a space where it doesn’t feel so daunting to communicate about this topic!

Love the perspective it gives on the idea that you’re not bad for watching porn but that porn itself is bad for you.

I’ve always had an incredible hatred for pornography. It ruined my body image, relationships, and stole pieces of my childhood that I’ll never get back. I’m so grateful for everyone at Fight the New Drug. Your work, dedication, and strength are much needed.

As someone who was deeply affected by porn in my teens and continues to grapple with the trauma, thank you for this.

Hello, I am grateful for the day I found your page. I have been addicted to pornography for years, and it’s been a struggle. Most times, I felt helpless. I came across your page and everything was useful and informative, but I kept on indulging in my old habit. It was really a struggle but I didn’t give up! For the first time in more than 10 years, I have gone three months without porn. I’m approaching my fourth month. It might be such a short time but I never believed I could not watch for this long. I have found myself. I do not intend to go back there again. The thought of porn is not even appealing to me right now. Thank you so much for all you do.

My husband and I have used a lot of your resources in discussions about porn. Just talking and accepting the realities of the impact of porn has been really helpful. Thank you again. What you are doing is helping many.

Informative and uplifting. I came here after watching a porn video, and I felt down and overwhelmed. This documentary gave me hope.
