I found this organization a few years ago, and I was absolutely awestruck. Because of your resources, I have been inspired to fight against sex trafficking and raise awareness on the slavery and abuse those human beings go through. Being factually educated by FTND on the detriments of porn has really enlightened a passion in me for standing up for respect for everyone. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do on a day-to-day basis.
I want to tell you how much I absolutely LOVE FTND. I traveled the country with a team of twenty-somethings, talking to middle and high school students about porn, relationships, healthy choices, etc. While on tour, I learned about human trafficking and was devastated by it. I knew I had to do something about it. One of my teammates shared FTND with me as she told her personal story of now being free from her addiction to porn.
I now work for a nonprofit which combats human trafficking and child exploitation. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am (both personally and professionally) of FTND and all that you do. Giving others the opportunity to make informed decisions about porn and the inseparable link between it and sex trafficking is something I am deeply passionate about.
Wow, FTND. Your email this morning, with the subject title “PSA: Porn Is Not Healthy” came at exactly the right time. I’ve been having an increasingly difficult time staying away from porn. I’ve been free of it for about 3 months, but, unfortunately, this morning I looked up a popular porn website. Just as I tapped on the first video, your email popped up at the top of my screen. I instantly knew what I was doing shouldn’t happen, and I exited the website. Thanks for the amazingly-timed email, and thanks for all you do to combat this pervasive issue.
I felt compelled to reach out and give a huge thank you to everyone at this organization. I’ve been dealing with a porn addiction for a while now and just recently started getting real help to try and recover. I came across the Consider Before Consuming podcast and have been going through episodes over the past several weeks. It’s really helped continue to open my eyes to the problem and made me feel not as alone. The episode with Alex especially touched me as I felt like he was telling a version of my story. Please keep up the awesome work and if there is anything I could ever do to help I wouldn’t think twice!
I found Fight the New Drug not long after my relationship ended, and while the path has had some speed bumps, I feel so much more free. I feel so much more clear. I feel more whole as a person. I have obtained a clarity when it comes to proper, healthy goals in seeking a lasting, loving relationship. Whenever I rock a FTND t-shirt, it’s always a conversation starter—and frankly, it’s a conversation that should be happening more often in today’s society, and it’s a conversation I’m proud to launch in my community.
