Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

When I am most lost and seemingly have no purpose, I desire porn so much more. These campaigns have given my darkness a purpose and a chance to redeem all those years I wasted stuck in porn addiction. #stopthedemand‬

Hey, I wore my PKL tee to Huntington Beach. I took photos and when I posted them to Instagram I got messages from people who know me saying what I did was really brave and that they wanted a shirt too! It made me really happy to be able to spread the goal of this movement! I finally felt like a Fighter!

Thank you for the work that you do. Wish you guys well in completing the mission that you have begun. I hope that your message of facts and love overcomes the lies and destruction that come from people who benefit from the pornography industry.

Hi! I came across one of your articles and it has changed my perspective. I want to thank whoever wrote this article I found about how not all men watch porn. I have struggled with my partner watching porn in every relationship I’ve had. Up until recently, I found someone who honors me, and says he will never do that, etc. To be honest, I thought it was impossible, and have been feeling so unsettled because of this ridiculous fear. But finding this website changed my outlook knowing it IS possible. Not ALL men watch it. So, thank you, whoever you are.

Four years ago, I messaged you asking for help with my addiction. I was a high school student, terrified by the horrible addiction that had begun to eat away at my life. I’m 3 months free from porn. It may not seem like much, but I feel like a new person. I’m so grateful to you and I’m so thankful that I’m finally free. Thank you for everything you guys do!

Love what y’all do! I always knew porn was harmful but it wasn’t till a friend told me about you guys that I learned more of the “whys". You’ve really helped me understand the issue so I could have informed and healthy conversations with my boyfriend!

I’m happy to see FTND fighting the shame and stigma that gets in the way of people getting help. The first few years of my addiction counseling with a therapist were focused entirely on dismantling the deep-rooted shame built up by myself and others. Porn addiction is a cycle fueled by shame, and though I know people’s intentions are good, people need to know that when they tell people they are shameful for struggling, they are part of the problem. Thanks, FTND, for publicly stating this.

Love your work. I wish I had been told at a young age about the harms of pornography.

I love you guys. You really opened my eyes. I wasn’t aware of the horrible cycle that I was in.

Hey FTND team, thank you for providing so much information and encouraging people to speak up about the harmful effects of pornography no matter who they are. Thanks to you, I gave a speech about just that topic in front of my English class on Tuesday and sparked up a great conversation with a classmate. I also was graded the highest mark we could get. Thank you so much for all the things you do.

Hey y’all! I just wanted to shoot a message to say thank you for everything you do to educate the world about the harmful effects of pornography. I became addicted to pornography when I was 11 and still struggle to this day. I don’t actively consume anymore due to everything I now know, but I still have a hard time with the things I’ve seen. I also appreciate the lack of religious bias when discussing facts with other people. When I start to talk about the harms and lasting effects of porn, people usually just brush what I have to say right off because they assume porn isn’t really harmful, but with the articles you put out, I’m able to provide facts to others. Thank you again for everything this organization does and will continue to do.
