Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!
yo i doubt you will ever see this but i stumbled upon this account maybe a year ago. I was immediately drawn in with the effects of porn. I was addicted for maybe 2 years before. each time getting worse and worse and more hardcore. So i am saying I am super glad that you are doing what you are doing, not enough people know how bad porn is on the human mind, men and women alike. As well as how detrimental it is on the actors. Thank you for trying to spread the truth
I stumbled upon your podcast on Spotify and it blew my mind! I saw porn for the first time when I was 13, and it became an unhealthy coping mechanism that sabotaged my college experience and a few of my relationships. I’ve tried to quit several times for different reasons and with different strategies, but none of them lasted that long. I had been going to therapy for the last year and ironically, I found your podcast just last week. The curriculum that y’all had, combined with my passion for anti-human trafficking, combined with therapy, and figuring out why I turned to porn to destress is LITERALLY rewiring my brain. I will browse the internet and hit mental blockages as I realize that the way my neurons are firing is in an objectifying manner and I’ll close whatever pages I’m on. Thank you for all that you guys are doing!
Exactly correct! This is why you are all heroes and must never stop speaking! Your channel is EDUCATIONAL. It isn’t a bunch of sensational “this is horrible, this is dreadful” clickbait (even though much of the material is challenging!). You are TEACHING your viewers. All of you strive to INFORM and ERASE ignorance. Once we all more fully understand, we can better love each other and take care of each other. LOVE and COMPASSION to you all! God bless you, FTND Staff, every one of you!
I love that you guys are helping parents with these conversations. I think it’s so important that parents are prepared for this conversation. When parents aren’t prepared they can tend to say something they will regret or shame their child while not meaning to. Thank you for all that you guys continue to do to help people.
Your organization is doing so much good. You are giving people an outlet who want to get out of the pornography cycle, and educating people who don’t to possibly understand the potential effects that porn can have on the brain and relationships. Also, what I love is that you teach that hope is not lost. Change is always attainable. You can have relationships, you can help others. Thank you again for all the work you do. I remember 5 years ago when you came to my high school and spoke. It has been the only school assembly I remember today. I know that you must receive criticism and opposition to what you do but keep going. You are truly making a difference. Thank you again.
Long story short, when my best friend told me that he’s been struggling to stay away from watching porn, I sent him the FTND documentary, Brain, Heart, World. Because he is a political adviser, educator, and lawyer, he felt disgusted and devastated to learn that porn fuels the demand for human sex trafficking. This was one big reason that made him stop watching porn.
