Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!
I just want to thank you for the dedicated work you are putting in daily. My exposure to porn started before I was a teenager and while I spent much of my high school and college years being open about the struggle and “wanting” to quit, my addiction to it grew inside of my marriage. Instead of dealing with feelings of resentment with my wife, I fled to fantasy in porn and eventually adultery. While I willingly accept total responsibility for my sexual brokenness and all its consequences, it took getting caught five years ago to bring about the seeds of recovery that have really taken deep root. I discovered you on Instagram less than a year ago and have told my recovery group, my new wife, my friends, and anyone who will listen about the quality work you are doing. If only I had known about you eight years ago, even though I was not willing to give up my behavior. Now, more than ever, your facts, research, and movement have done nothing but fill me with hope and gratitude.
Thank you guys for all you do! I love the three documentary episodes–they’re so well done and personable. I find most people don’t know the harms of porn because they don’t talk about it. My boyfriend’s porn habit nearly ended our relationship, but we’ve decided to work it out, and he’s getting help with recovery. No one ever talked to him about porn, told him the harms of it, or asked him if he had a problem with it, and I was shocked. I feel like there are so many people who don’t even know what it’s doing to their brains or relationships— it’s heartbreaking! They don’t know all of that, let alone know about the world of sexual exploitation in the porn industry. People need and deserve real love! Thank you so so much for spreading awareness!
I’m grateful to have come across your website while I was searching for ways to stop my compulsive porn use. For the first time, I feel like I have the upper hand over my struggles. You gave me the strength to fight on when I was feeling helpless. By shedding light on the impact that porn has on me, the people closest to me, and the society at large, you encouraged me to quit porn. Not just for me but for everyone who is affected.
I have been working toward letting go of porn this year, and the last few days have been rough. Today I was on the verge of buying porn and instead, I donated to y’all’s “Give for Love” fundraiser on Facebook! This is a huge step in the right direction, and I know I won’t regret donating that money later!
Wow, FTND. Your email this morning, with the subject title “PSA: Porn Is Not Healthy” came at exactly the right time. I’ve been having an increasingly difficult time staying away from porn. I’ve been free of it for about 3 months, but, unfortunately, this morning I looked up a popular porn website. Just as I tapped on the first video, your email popped up at the top of my screen. I instantly knew what I was doing shouldn’t happen, and I exited the website. Thanks for the amazingly-timed email, and thanks for all you do to combat this pervasive issue.
