Giving Tuesday—help more people hear the truth about porn Donate

Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

I have learned so much while listening to this podcast. My partner is an addict and it has helped me to learn what all goes into pornography, human trafficking, and exploitation. I have found something that I care about and support fully. Raising awareness is super important and Fight the New Drug and Consider Before Consuming are doing an amazing job with that!

I just watched Brain, Heart, World with my 19 year old son. I’m so grateful for everyone in FTND. I highly recommend this documentary!

I used to lead a group of freshman boys in my community. We went to a summer camp, and one night, we sat around and just talked about their biggest secrets and what they were holding back. Almost every guy (out of about 30) admitted to watching porn. Because of what you guys provide and teach, I have been able to help them get clean. Almost a year later, almost all of them are clean. Their lives are changed. They are living healthy lives and are prepared to have healthy relationships. Without you, this journey may not have been possible. Thank you for what you do!

Porn really messed me up. I used to be focused on my goals as a student, and I connected well with my peers, but all of that went wrong after viewing porn and getting hooked. I’ve lost my self-esteem, I don’t socialize, and I am always so lonely. Every time I go without porn for some time, I regain energy, but I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve relapsed. I’m not giving up though, I’ll keep up the fight.

Brain, Heart, World was very informative and insightful. The topic itself was uncomfortable to think about watching, but as I watched it, it just made me feel like I was learning more about how we are all affected differently by the things in this world and how it is the little things that are done over and over again that can have larger and more intense effects on us as an individual.

Thank you so much for all you do. With your site, I was able to educate my significant other on how destructive pornography truly is. So many women are deemed "insecure" by our partners and peers when we try to voice our opposition to it. I’m forever thankful.

I always had the strong feeling that I was alone with this, especially because I’m a woman. But since I started this journey of recovery, I noticed that this is not exclusively a male problem. Girls struggle, too. With a huge amount of courage, I told my best friend about my struggle. She said: “You know what? I don’t care what you’re struggling with. You’re still the same, wonderful person I love so much.” This changed my life. I started to tell more people that I trusted and always got a similar response: we’re in this together.

So to all the Fighters out there, I want to encourage you! Tell someone you trust about your struggle. It will not get better by hiding and shaming yourself. You are powerful and worthy of love! I’m currently still recovering. My journey is not over yet. But I hang in there. I know one day I will be able to say that I beat this. And I can’t wait for this day!

Thank you so much for this conversation and for all the other interviews and your work in general! ❤ It is so important to shine a light onto this topic. Much love to you. And much love to all the victims of the porn industry!

I watched Brain, Heart, World, this weekend and it’s a must-see. The explanation of porn’s effects on your brain, relationships, and the world caught my eye because the message never centered on whether porn is “good” or “bad,” but rather was based on scientific evidence. It was approachable for young minds. I was quickly hooked, playing one episode after another. Mixing personal stories with professional perspectives was an effective way to show how a consumer’s brain changes when exposed to porn, and the ways can alter our personality, preferences, and approach to life.

What I liked the most was the hopeful tone of the documentary. Despite showing terrible effects and heartbreaking stories, it sends an optimistic message, addressing directly people who may be trapped in porn consumption and giving them information as to where to turn for help.

100 days free (as of today!) because of organizations like you. Thank you so so much!

As a nurse, I really appreciate the scientific education from experts on the very real damage that porn does to the brain, as well as the hope for healing!

I wanted to take this time to say thank you. Thanks for all that y’all do to shine a light on pornography and sexual exploitation. When I was a kid, my dad did things to my sister that I won’t mention. His pornography addiction cost him his two precious children. There were many years I was hurt by those circumstances and held onto my anger. Since then, I’ve been able to attend a recovery program and use Fortify. I’m now starting my own organization with a friend that centers around child abduction prevention. I am grateful for all that y’all do. Fight on!
