Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

I just want to say that you are doing amazing work on this here site, and I am so happy and proud to be part of a community that shares my values. I first viewed porn when I was 11, and it has been a struggle ever since. Your site, along with a lotof other things, has been instrumental in helping me break my habitual use and have little to no porn use on a daily basis. Your approach of using science is so refreshing and appealing. I am super passionate about sex trafficking and sexual abuse awareness, and your campaigns have only fueled that in my life. So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Your work has helped change my life for the better and get me free of my addictions.

I’m happy to see FTND fighting the shame and stigma that gets in the way of people getting help. The first few years of my addiction counseling with a therapist were focused entirely on dismantling the deep-rooted shame built up by myself and others. Porn addiction is a cycle fueled by shame, and though I know people’s intentions are good, people need to know that when they tell people they are shameful for struggling, they are part of the problem. Thanks, FTND, for publicly stating this.

I’ve been happier and more joyful consistently than I have been in quite a long time. One of the reasons is that I’ve been off porn for a month. Fight the New Drug, thank you guys for your help! You have encouraged me a lot even if you don’t know it.

Hi, my son is a sophomore in high school and your videos were shown in his health class. He came to me and his dad asking for help. I am now working on getting him counseling. I watched this whole series after he recommended it. You guys are doing amazing work and I’m really grateful for the way you’re helping address porn addiction. You present it here in a very tangible and entertaining way. I don’t know if he would have asked for help if he hadn’t seen your documentary. Thank you, sincerely! You are changing world!!

FTND was a huge help as I was healing from a breakup with a self-professed porn addict. Your resources helped me to understand what porn was doing to him and to our relationship. My self-esteem suffered greatly while I was with him and after we broke up. But it has since recovered leaps and bounds thanks in large part to FTND. Thanks for doing what you’re doing.

My boyfriend has struggled with porn for the majority of his life. He’s stayed clean ever since we’ve been dating, but sometimes his irrational expectations of intimacy have bothered me. I now understand from this documentary where that comes from. His reward system is trying to get what it needs in other areas. I’m so grateful for these episodes so that I can understand him better and that we can talk about how it has affected his brain. Thank you!

Fight the New Drug is a great organization, and this podcast is just as great. It’s so awesome that they’re making a podcast to talk about this hugely important issue affecting people everywhere. It can be an uncomfortable conversation, but it is a critical one to have. On top of that, the arguments presented here are not based on religious or political views, and they’re not trying to impose a certain viewpoint or ideology on listeners. All they want is to share what the facts say about pornography because they truly care about people and want the best for them. All things considered, this podcast gets a 5-star review from me!

Hello, I really love both your page and YouTube videos. Your factual information has motivated me to shake off my porn and sex addiction. I haven’t watched Pornhub or paid OnlyFans subscriptions for a month now.

What this man is talking about is one of the reasons why it is SO IMPORTANT that you continue to post videos as often as possible! By continuing to post videos, you giving sex workers back their humanity and helping porn addicts to nurture feelings of compassion and empathy. The importance of what you do every day cannot be overstressed. Every day that you wake up and go to work you are a hero! Thank you, FTND staff!
