I just wanted to tell you how much your movement gave me motivation to quit. I’m 2 months porn free and feeling great. I first was introduced to porn when I was in 6th grade when I found my father’s VHS collection. I struggled for over 10 years. It wasn’t until I admitted my addiction to my then-fiancé (now wife) that I was able to overcome the addiction. It isn’t easy, and triggers are everywhere, but having support from my loved ones and pages like this have made all the difference. Clean and clear for over two years now. I have four brothers who are all working on their recovery because of me. Porn would’ve killed my marriage to a wonderful woman who I have been with for 11 years now.
This was amazing. It definitely helps show that anyone struggling is not alone. I think it’s cool that it focused on real people’s stories, and it’s awesome that people are trying to spread the word that porn is a problem. It has been in my life, and I’m grateful for everyone who has helped me on the journey of stopping. Thank you for the great docuseries.
I felt that I was very deeply connected to those people in the video because I noticed the shared hardship between them and me. I did reach a breaking point. I did relapse. I did feel ashamed. I have wished that I never discovered what I’ve discovered. Knowing that recovery is tangible inspires me on so many levels. Thanks to everyone who helped produce this episode. I truly mean that.

I first viewed porn when I was 11, and it has been a struggle ever since. Your site, along with a lotof other things, has been instrumental in helping me break my habitual use and have little to no porn use on a daily basis. Your approach of using science is so refreshing and appealing. I am super passionate about sex trafficking and sexual abuse awareness, and your campaigns have only fueled that in my life. Porn affected my life in so many ways I never could’ve imagined. It affected my social life and relationship with my parents. There were times when I thought I’d overcome my addiction, but whenever I became depressed or things came up, I always found myself crawling back to porn. I was introduced to your page by a friend and started following on social media. I read the stats and started to understand how porn was not only affecting me, but the world too. I made a solid commitment to never view porn again. My life slowly began to turn around. I started to do better in school and was able to focus on my social life. I was happier. The greatest change of all was when I met the most amazing girl who is now my wife. I have been sober for over two years. If you’re fighting right now, keep fighting. If you haven’t started, start now. It will change your life. Don’t get discouraged. It takes time. You can do it!
I’m a high school counselor, and I see how, in teen culture, sending and receiving nudes has become “normal.” I see the firsthand effects this has on both boys and girls: depression, anxiety, shame, guilt, suicidal ideation, self-harm, and in some cases, death by suicide.
