Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Wow, FTND. Your email this morning, with the subject title “PSA: Porn Is Not Healthy” came at exactly the right time. I’ve been having an increasingly difficult time staying away from porn. I’ve been free of it for about 3 months, but, unfortunately, this morning I looked up a popular porn website. Just as I tapped on the first video, your email popped up at the top of my screen. I instantly knew what I was doing shouldn’t happen, and I exited the website. Thanks for the amazingly-timed email, and thanks for all you do to combat this pervasive issue.

Hey FTND, what you’ve said has really helped and given me some things to work on with my boyfriend. I’m hoping that together we will be able to get past his addiction and move forward in our relationship. You’ve really made me feel a whole lot better about the way I’ve been feeling towards his porn habit and helped me understand that what I am feeling is valid. It’s been great to be able to speak to someone who has an impartial view on this and can offer valuable advice! So, thank you!

Great podcast! I love this work! I joined as a Fighter for FTND and have merchandise on the way. I’m just shook. I feel like I stumbled across a big part of my purpose here. Ahh, I can’t say enough! Keep up the good work!

My boyfriend’s porn addiction came to light a week ago and I’ve been looking to inform myself as much as possible. We just watched part one of the documentary, “The Brain,” together. He’s has seen aspects of the documentary already in his life, but hearing the personal accounts was really valuable for both of us. I asked him if it made him feel less alone. He had replied that the individuals in the video were all around his age and that really comforted him. Thank you for all that you’re doing—it’s changing lives.

Fight the New Drug is a great organization, and this podcast is just as great. It’s so awesome that they’re making a podcast to talk about this hugely important issue affecting people everywhere. It can be an uncomfortable conversation, but it is a critical one to have. On top of that, the arguments presented here are not based on religious or political views, and they’re not trying to impose a certain viewpoint or ideology on listeners. All they want is to share what the facts say about pornography because they truly care about people and want the best for them. All things considered, this podcast gets a 5-star review from me!

I am really grateful that something like this documentary came into being. It gives a great outlook about how much of a capacity porn has to to destroy relationships and impact society!

I didn’t realize how badly porn affected me until I stopped watching it completely a few months ago. Now I feel like a completely different woman. Lighter, happier, free. I control my sexuality, not the other way around. I use that energy for creativity.

Thank you for this well-crafted resource! I’m watching it with my teens now and I really appreciate this opportunity to share with them the dangers of pornography in an engaging way. We already talk about it, but it’s really nice to have another avenue to reinforce the concept.

Thank you for your fight. I use your words as inspiration to stop watching porn and remind myself that porn is harmful.

I really enjoyed not feeling like I’m the only one who has this problem and I’m willing to make big changes to stop my addiction. Thank you so much for making this!

I recently decided to wear my PKL shirt to O’Hare airport. I immediately noticed lots of staring, which is expected when you’re wearing a shirt that has the word “porn.” A few people stopped me to tell me they loved my shirt, many smiled and pointed. It was refreshing to see people reacting and hopefully having meaningful conversations after seeing it. The best part was while entering the aircraft, a flight attendant greeted us and after reading my shirt, her face lit up! She loved the message and had her coworker come see it as well. During the flight, the flight attendant offered me a complimentary beer “for wearing such an awesome shirt.”

By supporting FTND, you aren’t just giving your money to another nonprofit. You are provided with a tool to spread an empowering, world-changing message. By wearing a shirt with the 3 simple words “Porn Kills Love,” I was able to raise awareness, start conversations for many, and pass the message along.

I had to give a persuasive speech at my college. I chose the topic of porn. Everyone was shocked when I stood up and the title of my presentation popped up: “Why we need to fight against pornography.” At first, some of them chuckled, but toward the end, the entire class was either leaning forward or on the verge of tears. When I finished, my professor and some classmates said to me, “We are ready to fight,” and it made me so happy. I sincerely believe that there are many young people who know the darkness behind watching pornography but are too afraid of standing alone. Thankfully, I let my class know that there are hundreds of Fighters willing to support each other.
