I Wore My ‘Porn Kills Love’ Tee To The Airport And This Happened

One way we've seen Fighters wear their "Porn Kills Love" shirt is in one of the busiest, most public places one can: the airport.

When we released the “Porn Kills Love” tee in 2013, we knew we were taking a risk. We weren’t sure how our followers would react to a bright red shirt with the word ‘porn’ on it. We knew that our Fighters were dedicated to raising awareness on the harmful effects of pornography, but we still weren’t sure if they would wear something so…bold.

Fast forward to today, and the “Porn Kills Love” tee shirt has become one of the symbols of this global movement for love.

GRAB A TEE

Our slogan Porn Kills Love might even be more recognizable than the name “Fight the New Drug” itself! And truly, we are stoked to see so many people across the world repping the movement and getting conversations started with these bold tees. After all, that’s why we designed them to be so head-turning, because we know face-to-face conversations are some of the most impactful ways to spark lasting change.

Become A Fighter

Over the past few years, we’ve noticed an awesome trend developing. Fighters are wearing their “Porn Kills Love” tees when they travel and when they visit large public places.

These bold supporters of the movement use these occasions to rep the movement in front of as many eyes as possible, raising some eyebrows and starting conversations with those around them. One of the main ways we’ve seen this is all the Fighters who message us with stories of wearing their “Porn Kills Love” shirt to one of the busiest, most public places one can: the airport.

And we think it’s a genius way to spread the movement!

We’ve received countless pictures from Fighters rocking their tees in airports across the world, usually along with messages about how their shirt caused many double takes and even generated some discussions with strangers.

Some messages we get about the tees in airports are simple, like this new Fighter who actually learned about our organization through seeing a Porn Kills Love tee at the airport they work at in Hawaii:

“FTND,

Someone came through my airport wearing this shirt. So glad I saw them. So many guys lately have been trying to tell me porn is okay and everyone does it and I thought I was alone with thinking porn isn’t okay. Glad I am not alone.”

And, we received a story from Daniel, a Fighter from Oregon, who wore his Porn Kills Love all day long as he traveled across the country and through three major airports:

“Hey FTND!

Repped the movement all the way from the Diplomat Hotel in Florida to Seattle and then down to Portland. Having this shirt on in three massive airports got a lot of interesting reactions. From men glancing and then instantly turning away (especially when with their significant others), a couple of apparent scowls, lots of women reading it and then smiling at me, and then a lot of perplexing looks. I had a great conversation in Florida with a young woman in college who had just written a paper on porn and its damage to relationships. She was awesome and we chatted all about the three main harms of porn that Fight the New Drug always talks about—brain, heart, and world. She mentioned to me how many girls she knows who are affected by their boyfriend’s porn habits.

I was on a trip to attend a medical conference for a new erectile dysfunction treatment. In one of my meetings, I was able to share with doctors and others how porn-induced erectile dysfunction is now a big problem in society. Most of them didn’t have a clue. I felt proud to be able to spread the word.

Keep it up!”

-Daniel, Fighter from Oregon

Why This Matters

We love hearing stories like this. Sometimes they’re funny, sometimes they’re thought-provoking, sometimes they’re serious, sometimes they don’t have a known ending, but they always do the one thing this movement is about: start a conversation!

If you don’t have a Porn Kills Love tee, grab one and start having conversations about this movement for real love! If you already have a tee, we challenge you to wear it to the next large public place you visit and see what kind of a reaction you get.

Take a stand. Be bold. Become a Fighter.
