Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

My husband has been on the road to recovery for 5 years. Watching him grow into the man he is without porn has been a beautiful transformation–not easy, but SO worth it. His addiction started when he was 5. With a rough childhood, porn made him feel safe and loved when he felt anxious or upset. Those were false perceptions, which he learned as he grew and saw porn’s damage.

He told me about his addiction in 2017. At first, I didn’t know how to support him and had to work through my own emotions. But the past year has been the best year of our relationship. Even though he is still recovering, I’m so proud of how far he’s come and his choice to be on this journey. No one truly understands the depths of the addiction and how it can ruin every aspect of your life. My husband has always been an amazing man. I am overjoyed to watch him live in freedom and confidence. He is an amazing husband, father, and friend.

What this man is talking about is one of the reasons why it is SO IMPORTANT that you continue to post videos as often as possible! By continuing to post videos, you giving sex workers back their humanity and helping porn addicts to nurture feelings of compassion and empathy. The importance of what you do every day cannot be overstressed. Every day that you wake up and go to work you are a hero! Thank you, FTND staff!

FTND helped me realize I didn’t actually enjoy using porn. My urges were tormenting me and wouldn’t leave me alone until I gave in. I had gotten so used to it, I started to think that the temporary relief from the torment was the same thing as pleasure.
I feel much cleaner and lighter in my soul now. FTND was one piece of the puzzle in helping me find my sobriety.
They also have killer merch.

Just wanted to say thanks for what you guys do! My husband quit porn 17 months ago and hasn’t gone back since. We really love your page. We got married when I was 19 and he was 23, and he lied about his addiction for a year during our 3 years of marriage. But now he’s free from it, and is happier than ever and makes great choices and our relationship is so much better even though it has been tough. The honesty that has come from it has been amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing!!

Thanks for helping people make the decision about what to consume based on the facts and not just opinions!

I’ve been donating to this cause for a year and a half now. My boyfriend of only a month opened up to me and told me that he used to have a pornography addiction but has been clean for over a year. This cause means even more to me now, knowing that someone I love has been affected by it and has been overcoming it. Thank you for all that you do!

After watching Brain, Heart, World, I think that I understand a little bit more about how much pornography distorted my relationships and my goals in life to be happy and have an authentic life.

Fight the new drug has played a pivotal role in my victory over porn. Thanks to the resources and knowledge provided by FTND not only have I been able to overcome porn, but my marriage has been restored, and I’m only a few days away from celebrating 1,000 days porn free! I hope my small contribution can continue to help others that were in the same struggle I have been.

As a 36-year-old man, I have been habitually binging porn for most of my life. I can’t overturn the contribution I have made to its demand, but I’d like you to know that your message is true and needs to be so much louder. I’m trying to make this year about health, and I’m abstaining from pornography from now on with great incentive from the stories FTND has publicized. Porn is really the last unaddressed problem in my life, and it may have been standing between me and meaningful relationships this whole time.

No amount of money will balance the books of my consumption, but if it helps to amplify the signal for others and hopefully break the habit for others, then it’s well spent.
