Daniel is a Southern California native. When he’s not mentoring youth, you can find him at a coffee shop reading, hanging out with his friends, or hunting for vinyl records.

Daniel describes his first interaction with porn—a group of friends showed him on his birthday in the 6th grade—and how he developed a natural curiosity for it. By college, however, Daniel knew it was time to stop when his consumption of pornography negatively impacted him in significant ways. It was then that he reached out to friends about his struggle. Daniel explains how shame can cripple recovery, and that consuming porn doesn’t make someone a bad person.

Hear Daniel urge others to normalize talking about struggles with porn and how when the stigma and shame is taken away, it can become much easier to combat.
