Hello, I’ve been a follower for a few months, and this whole time, I’ve struggled with quitting porn, and I’ve noticed its effects on my mental health. I recently purchased some items from your store as reminders and motivations to quit. I just want to say you guys have been an encouragement in my life and have helped me understand that I am not alone in this.
I wanted to take a moment and thank your organization. I’ve been addicted on and off since I was a teenager. I stopped for nearly two years when I first met my wife, and about two years ago, I fell back on it in a big way. I confessed my struggle to my wife, and although she was obviously upset, her support was still there. I’d go a week or two, then give in. Now, I’m on my current longest streak in a couple of years of two months, and it feels amazing. My marriage is stronger and our sex life is great again. It’s organizations like yours that keep love alive and talk about the uncomfortable/unpopular side of the porn industry that need to be discussed! Keep up the good work, and thank you again.
I found Fight the New Drug not long after my relationship ended, and while the path has had some speed bumps, I feel so much more free. I feel so much more clear. I feel more whole as a person. I have obtained a clarity when it comes to proper, healthy goals in seeking a lasting, loving relationship. Whenever I rock a FTND t-shirt, it’s always a conversation starter—and frankly, it’s a conversation that should be happening more often in today’s society, and it’s a conversation I’m proud to launch in my community.
For a year or so, I got sucked into the world of porn. But after I discovered FTND, I learned how much I was hurting myself and how much pain my habit caused the other people involved. I quit cold turkey right then, and as difficult as it was, I was able to move on from it and learn from my mistakes. I’ve now been completely clean for 6 months, and I was able to wholeheartedly experience true love. With what I had discovered, I was able to reach out to my best friend and help them quit their addiction as well. They’ve now been 2 months clean. Not long ago, I broke up with a boy that had been suffering from porn addiction for over 13 years. We broke up because he kept relapsing and the relationship was getting toxic. I’m devastated.
