Giving Tuesday—help more people hear the truth about porn Donate

Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Dear Fight the New Drug team, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do. Your resources and words have meant so much to me in a season of deep pain. The battle is real, and it’s not easy. Pornography is an invisible drug, one that thrives in secrecy and shame. But your work brings light into that darkness. You’re giving people like me the courage to face the truth, and helping couples like us fight for healing and restoration. So from my heart—thank you. Thank you for not giving up, for speaking truth, and for helping families find hope again. Please keep going. What you’re doing truly matters.

Thank you so much for what you do! I often feel so overwhelmed by the problem of pornography and how it feeds the sex trafficking industry and destroys relationships. People have written off my claims that pornography is harmful because they assume it’s a moral stance, when really, I’m just trying to help people understand how horrible porn is. It’s so helpful that you guys have timely research and articles that I can share with people and the fact that you are not religiously affiliated helps me to make my case. Thank you!

Hey, I wore my PKL tee to Huntington Beach. I took photos and when I posted them to Instagram I got messages from people who know me saying what I did was really brave and that they wanted a shirt too! It made me really happy to be able to spread the goal of this movement! I finally felt like a Fighter!

I work at a huge tech company, and we usually deal with websites that can host pornography. People made jokes about it at first, including my coworkers. I introduced them to FTND and its informational side regarding what porn does to the brain. Anyways, a few days ago, my buddy at work let me know it’s made an impact on him and that he’s going to stop consuming porn. I feel really good about it. It’s hard being a woman in technology (especially because we are outnumbered 4:1) but it’s even harder when objectification of women is something that’s just happening in front of our faces without even knowing the true effects of it on our brain long term. I feel like I bring important things to the table being a lady in tech, and FTND has been a significant thing in my life. I’m spreading it like wildfire. I’m tired of it being the norm.

I recently searched about whether porn stars enjoyed their jobs. I ran across one of your articles about that very subject. To say it was eye-opening is an understatement. Thank you for your work. It’s necessary!

Thank you so much for building this site! The education on this page and your website have grown my knowledge of pornography immensely. I wrote my senior research project on the negative impacts of porn use and use you guys as references for almost all of my points! Keep educating even though it’s a hard topic. We’re grateful for people like you to stand up and fight this drug.

Hey y’all! I just wanted to shoot a message to say thank you for everything you do to educate the world about the harmful effects of pornography. I became addicted to pornography when I was 11 and still struggle to this day. I don’t actively consume anymore due to everything I now know, but I still have a hard time with the things I’ve seen. I also appreciate the lack of religious bias when discussing facts with other people. When I start to talk about the harms and lasting effects of porn, people usually just brush what I have to say right off because they assume porn isn’t really harmful, but with the articles you put out, I’m able to provide facts to others. Thank you again for everything this organization does and will continue to do.
