Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Dear FTND, I just wanted to say thank you. I am a normal tenth-grade girl who was told my whole life that porn was “gross and dirty.” I wanted to understand outside of my own context why it was “bad.” Your website has provided me with the information I needed to justify why I took my stand against pornography. In English class, I was able to speak for 6 minutes about something; I chose the dangers of porn. It wasn’t easy, but my heart breaks for this generation of boys and girls who don’t understand why they can’t seem to have functional relationships. I wanted to do something about it. I have had multiple conversations after my speech, and hope that at least one person began to think about the potential consequences of porn. This hasn’t been easy to talk about it, but having the right information definitely made it easier. Thank you.

A friend of mine introduced me to Fight the New Drug and this podcast a while back. I can’t thank her enough. It has been a huge eye-opener as well as an inspiration. I’m so glad there are people out there addressing this in an absolutely wonderful and exciting way.

The other day, I brought up porn at my work with several coworkers who I’m pretty close to. I was nervous that they’d fight with me about it or I’d get very negative responses for saying how much I hated porn and everything it does/stands for/etc., but to my surprise and delight (and relief), every single one of my co-workers agreed with me and we were all able to have a great conversation about the dangers and harmfulness of porn. I’m so encouraged to see other people my age who are aware of how toxic it is and willing to fight against it. I’m so thankful for this page and all you guys do, and especially all the information you provided. Thank you so much!

Hey y’all! I just wanted to shoot a message to say thank you for everything you do to educate the world about the harmful effects of pornography. I became addicted to pornography when I was 11 and still struggle to this day. I don’t actively consume anymore due to everything I now know, but I still have a hard time with the things I’ve seen. I also appreciate the lack of religious bias when discussing facts with other people. When I start to talk about the harms and lasting effects of porn, people usually just brush what I have to say right off because they assume porn isn’t really harmful, but with the articles you put out, I’m able to provide facts to others. Thank you again for everything this organization does and will continue to do.
