Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

This coming March 3rd will be 3 years since I found freedom from a 20 plus year porn addiction. Thank you for speaking truth and healing on this hush hush topic.

I’m a month clean from porn today! I wanted to celebrate that, so I’m letting you know!

I left porn in 2020 and I’m using this year to focus on fighting this addiction. Thank you for spreading the knowledge of the effect porn has on us! I share the mission and information from FTND with a lot of people. Thank you for making me, a woman who struggles with porn, feel normal and not judged. Women struggle, too! That needs to be a continual message out there.

First, whoever you are, let me express my appreciation for this organization coming into existence. A science-based, non-religious movement is the approach called for. It never occurred to me that I was addicted to porn until I came across FTND videos on YouTube. It prompted me to say out loud to myself and later to a friend that I am a recovering porn addict, and let me tell you, it was a relief! I’ve been "on the wagon" for three months, and I want to stay on it for the rest of my life.

Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for all you’re doing to shed light on this awful, addictive drug. Personally, I have suffered with porn addiction since I was 7. I caught my brother watching an inappropriate movie and it sparked my innocent curiosity. It has gotten worse since then, but I’ve had the courage to talk to my husband about it and it feels good to know that he loves me and wants to help me overcome this addiction. It has affected my life for way too many years, and I’m sick of it! I’m taking a stand to stop and get in control of my life. I’ve been trying so hard to resist. The last time I slipped up, it made my anxiety so bad. I’ve noticed when I have watched porn, my anxiety is out of control. And when I don’t watch porn, I start feeling like myself, and my anxiety isn’t nearly as bad or frequent. Thank you again for all you’re doing!

Super thankful to find you guys during recovery. 15 days so far and I feel like I have an entirely new mindset. I’m more calm, focused, clear, and confident than even before. It’s the wildest thing: I could probably count on one hand the amount of times I even got 15 days porn-free in over 13 years. This time it’s for good and I’m not looking back. I have new habits in place and am running straight through this thing!

Your cause is working! I’ve been following FTND since 2018 when my then-boyfriend, now husband, broke my heart for the second time with his addiction. I didn’t know until the second time that it was an addiction, and I encouraged him to get therapy. But I was just scrolling today and I saw this one post, and I read some comments, and people are actually aware of porn’s harms! I’m just so happy that awareness is spreading.

This docuseries was amazing. It’s given me even more motivation to stay away from pornography!

I had to give a persuasive speech at my college. I chose the topic of porn. Everyone was shocked when I stood up and the title of my presentation popped up: “Why we need to fight against pornography.” At first, some of them chuckled, but toward the end, the entire class was either leaning forward or on the verge of tears. When I finished, my professor and some classmates said to me, “We are ready to fight,” and it made me so happy. I sincerely believe that there are many young people who know the darkness behind watching pornography but are too afraid of standing alone. Thankfully, I let my class know that there are hundreds of Fighters willing to support each other.

I really love what you stand for, and what you stand against. So keep going! There are so many people that you have already helped, and many more that I know you’ll continue to reach.

Loved this docuseries! I’m pre-screening it before showing my middle schoolers. I thought they might be too young, but then the people interviewed in the video said they were 10 or 11 when they started watching. Wow! So eye-opening!

I am so grateful for organizations like this one. My previous boyfriend had a severe porn addiction that instilled lies in me that I was not enough. Reading articles of women who have stories similar to mine, and having people committed to ending people’s consumption, I am encouraged by the stand. Thanks so much!

I think it’s amazing what you do and it does have an effect and an influence on people, especially when you make your statements so fashionable. It’s so important to speak out against these issues that are so normalized in this society and I’m glad that there are organizations like yours.
