A COLLECTION OF GRATITUDE & IMPACT CURATED BY FIGHT THE NEW DRUG
Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!
I want to tell you how much I absolutely LOVE FTND. I traveled the country with a team of twenty-somethings, talking to middle and high school students about porn, relationships, healthy choices, etc. While on tour, I learned about human trafficking and was devastated by it. I knew I had to do something about it. One of my teammates shared FTND with me as she told her personal story of now being free from her addiction to porn.
I now work for a nonprofit which combats human trafficking and child exploitation. I cannot tell you how appreciative I am (both personally and professionally) of FTND and all that you do. Giving others the opportunity to make informed decisions about porn and the inseparable link between it and sex trafficking is something I am deeply passionate about.
I just wanted to share a cool experience I had today! I've been wearing my PKL shirt for years and hoping that it's helping spread the message, but I've had very few if any conversations about it. Today I had a new friend ask me about it and we had a good long conversation where I was able to share my viewpoint and cite some of the research you share! He committed to look into it more and he knows I'm going to ask him what he thought when I see him next week!
My husband used to have a pretty hefty porn addiction. I’ve been a fan of the FTND movement since high school, so when he told me that was something he used to struggle with, I told him about this page. Since then, he said he will never go back. he loves learning more about the harmful effects of porn and he loves the FTND movement now, too! Thank you guys so much!
I’ve been following you guys for more than a year. A week ago, I confessed to someone that I struggle with porn. Once those words left my mouth, I felt this huge relief off my chest. I’ve been struggling with porn since I was 10 years old and now I am 24 years old. I hid my addiction in the dark, but now it’s in the light. I just want to thank you guys for this page. It’s been so helpful, and now I can walk on this path to freedom! My chains have been broken!
Excellent material! Our whole family benefitted from watching the documentary series. We appreciated the definition of love as “focus.” The men, women, and families who were willing to share their stories made the film relevant and believable. Thanks to all those who were willing to be interviewed and share their expert knowledge.
Love that you're standing up for this. It's such a big problem in our society.
I was impacted by this. I have been struggling with porn for almost 15 years. Watching this really gave me hope that I can and I will recover, so that I can live my life to fullest without negative feelings dragging me down.
Since quitting porn, I’ve felt better about myself and my body and have been less judgmental of other people and their bodies. I still have a long way to go and a lot of damage to my self-image to undo, but I’ve made leaps and bounds of progress. I also have a loving boyfriend who has seen the harms of this stuff and quit, too. Since doing so, we have both made incredible improvements in our sex life; we feel more passion, more love, more intimacy, more everything. My sex life has never been more satisfying and comfortable. I cannot begin to explain the vast improvements in our relationship, our intimacy, and our overall lives.
So to anyone who is in the process of quitting, or thinking about quitting, don’t give up! It is one of the most worthwhile things you’ll ever do for yourself, and the struggle is challenging but worth it. Keep going!
There are so many things I’d like to say, but I teared up a couple of times. The personal stories are extremely powerful and I can relate to many of them. Thank you so much for doing this and stepping out into the world with confidence and without fear.
Your movement and the material that comes with it have been a huge part of this change in me, and now I’m ready to give you something back by supporting this movement.
Just saw a guy wearing your shirt. Curious, I Googled it later. Love what you're doing!
Thank you so much for all you do. With your site, I was able to educate my significant other on how destructive pornography truly is. So many women are deemed "insecure" by our partners and peers when we try to voice our opposition to it. I'm forever thankful.
I am a recovering porn and sex addict and I just want you all to know that you are doing great work. My choices in looking at pornography have hurt the most important person in my life so much. I feel like a monster and now all I can do is to try to help contribute to fighting against this awful culture and industry. I have been listening to your podcasts and it truly disgusts me that I was contributing to so much exploitation and abuse in the industry. No one should ever have to go through those things and I truly will always consider before consuming now. Thank you.
You guys are so awesome! Thank you for all that you do!
This is a great resource—we found it amazing and inspiring and will help a lot of people through their process of fighting porn for themselves.
