Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Hello! I just wanted to say how much Fight the New Drug has helped me, I love all of the posts and podcasts. Although I personally don’t consume pornography, my ex partner had a secret porn addiction and I experienced immense pain being the betrayed partner. I learned how damaging porn can be for relationships and love. To try to process everything and try to heal from betrayal trauma initially, one thing that helped me was expressing my pain through art. I made this drawing and wanted to share with Fightthenewdrug to express how porn addiction harms relationships. Thank you so much!

I wanted to take a moment and thank your organization. I’ve been addicted on and off since I was a teenager. I stopped for nearly two years when I first met my wife, and about two years ago, I fell back on it in a big way. I confessed my struggle to my wife, and although she was obviously upset, her support was still there. I’d go a week or two, then give in. Now, I’m on my current longest streak in a couple of years of two months, and it feels amazing. My marriage is stronger and our sex life is great again. It’s organizations like yours that keep love alive and talk about the uncomfortable/unpopular side of the porn industry that need to be discussed! Keep up the good work, and thank you again.

Hi there,

A fighter here reaching out to say thank you. I had a lapse over the weekend, and I went on your Twitter page and read the article you posted, “How You Can Confront Setbacks While Quitting Porn” by Jacob Hess and it was a Godsend. Just the message I needed to hear exactly when I needed to hear it.

So much of the article resonated with me and most importantly it gave me strength and hope and reminded me that I can do this. This line in particular really inspired me: “Begin again, for as many times as it takes.” This is not my first lapse as I’ve struggled with porn over so many years. What is different now is that I’m not alone thanks to the great work of Fight the New Drug.

Thanks to you, instead of sulking in shame and berating myself, I’ve dusted myself off and will keep on fighting. Words will never be enough to express my gratitude to you all and as such I’ve made a contribution in addition to my monthly donations because I’m so grateful.

I’m looking forward to your webinar next month. Thank you, thank you, I’m so grateful for Fight The New Drug!

Warmly,
A Fighter Who Will Keep Fighting

It helps to see this whole topic broken down. I’m thankful someone is finally addressing this and not condoning it as “fun” or “normal,” because it’s honestly anything but that. Definitely worth a listen to the episodes to really get a clear description—I truly think you’ll be surprised to find out what you didn’t even know. The work that Fight the New Drug does is much needed in our world today. They pull back the deceptive facade of porn and break down the facts in easily accessible and engaging ways. Thanks for what you guys do!

I appreciate this channel so much and I’m glad that there are people with great courage willing to speak about it, like you.

Hello, I have been following your movement for a couple of years now and I just wanted to say thank you for everything you guys do! I have been free from porn for more than 5 years now, but it was still hard for me to stop! It does get easier with time. I have an awesome friend group and mom who I talk to when I am struggling and they help me get through it! It does help to talk about it! I have been so scared to rep the movement because of shame even though I haven’t watched porn for years now. I finally feel that I can rep the movement with pride and I just wanted to say THANK YOU again!

Really great, informative, and beautifully shot. Oh, and with excellent narration.

This was so awesome! Thank you so much for putting these episodes together. We watched them with our kids and were able to have a great discussion about the harmful effects of porn. Thank you!

I’m watching this series with my adolescent clients who have engaged in sexual offending. Pornography use can be a major factor. This video was great and helped me to have some bigger discussions with them.

I’ve been donating to this cause for a year and a half now. My boyfriend of only a month opened up to me and told me that he used to have a pornography addiction but has been clean for over a year. This cause means even more to me now, knowing that someone I love has been affected by it and has been overcoming it. Thank you for all that you do!

Thanks for calling this out FTND because even with all the outrage this continues. Until society says, “no more!” It will continue. We need to speak up.
