A COLLECTION OF GRATITUDE & IMPACT CURATED BY FIGHT THE NEW DRUG

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

Hi, I just wanted to thank you so much for the work you’re doing. I’ve never watched porn, but I’ve been in a relationship with a guy who did, and it came through in the way he treated me, and as a result, it has deeply impacted my sexuality negatively. Almost every guy I know watches it and that can get pretty discouraging. Your website has been a light in the darkness, a sign that people are fighting porn, a sign that I’m not alone. Thank you so much.

I was so excited when I found your page. It’s really heartening to see what you guys are doing. Thank you!

As a former porn addict, I am very grateful that this kind of information is getting out there. It helps strengthen my resolve not to regress back into those old habits. This addiction can feed human trafficking along with perpetuating the objectification of my own gender. Can’t thank you enough for your work on this front. Only wish you’d have been around when I was a teen.

I’m a long-time user of pornography and I know firsthand how destructive its effects are in one’s personal life. I’m deeply changed since abstaining and I would like to do my part to bring awareness to those who are addicted and prevention to young children/adults before they are exposed to it. Thank you for the work that you do! #FTND

I found porn in an effort to understand what was being done to me. As a 10-year-old boy, I was being molested and raped regularly by my 16-year-old male cousin. I found out later that he was addicted to porn, and that was part of what made him try to act it out on me. I struggled with porn and an unhealthy relationship with sex until my early 20s. I bought my first FTND shirt years ago, and I just joined the Fighter Club. Thank you guys for what you are doing to fight something that fuels sexual abuse and child trafficking and exploitation.

I just want to thank you for continuing to educate and bring awareness to the effects of pornography. In a message I sent you several years ago, I thought my husband had been without porn for many years only to find out later that he had not stopped his porn use, just kept it quiet. I feel that I would have left this marriage or be in the process had it not been for the amazing articles you continue to post about how porn affects the mind, etc. Your efforts to fight this drug are paying off and you have saved my marriage and I’m sure many others because of it. My husband may still be in the throes of his addiction but he is fighting. I will be here by his side as he fights, wielding my own sword. True love is worth fighting for. Thanks again.

Very informative about the link between pornography, human trafficking, violence, and objectifying others. Good explanation of how porn impacts relationships negatively, especially when illustrated by real-life examples.

I saw your “Tips to Quit” article! I told my boyfriend about my struggle and had him put a password in on my phone that only he knows, and then one on my computer. It has, hands down, been the thing that has worked for me. Even if I want access, I can’t have it. The day he did that was the biggest weight off my shoulders. No more worrying about giving in to my addiction. I am very lucky to have a partner who supports me, no questions asked.

FTND, I just wanted to say thank you. I’m 18 now and I was first exposed to hardcore pornography as a 10-year-old. Right now, I’m 3-4 weeks clean. I’ve never abstained from porn for this long since around 2015 or so. I just don’t know how to show my gratitude to everyone who’s helped me get here, especially you guys. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thankful someone is putting this information out there in video form so that more people will see. I’ve read books on porn addiction, but most people will never pick up one book let alone read it in their lifetime about this issue. These videos will reach so many more people! Thank you for caring to educate the masses.

Incredible series. This is incredibly helpful in my personal fight against porn and it’s a great tool to share with others for their own fights.

Hello, I just want to thank you for all that you do. I discovered someone close to me had relapsed and I wanted to handle it non-confrontationally and you have helped us. Thank you.

Since quitting porn, I’ve felt better about myself and my body and have been less judgmental of other people and their bodies. I still have a long way to go and a lot of damage to my self-image to undo, but I’ve made leaps and bounds of progress. I also have a loving boyfriend who has seen the harms of this stuff and quit, too. Since doing so, we have both made incredible improvements in our sex life; we feel more passion, more love, more intimacy, more everything. My sex life has never been more satisfying and comfortable. I cannot begin to explain the vast improvements in our relationship, our intimacy, and our overall lives. So to anyone who is in the process of quitting, or thinking about quitting, don’t give up! It is one of the most worthwhile things you’ll ever do for yourself, and the struggle is challenging but worth it. Keep going!

I watched this with my 13-year-old and it opened a door for some great conversations. He was very thankful that I took the time to help empower him with the truth! Thank you for creating such a fabulous resource!
