Impact

Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!

As someone who has suffered from pornography addiction, I was instantly in support when I found FTND on Instagram. Your page gives a voice to the unspoken narrative that affects millions so strongly. That led me to discover this podcast which dives into detail of how consuming pornography derails your life and relationships in a multifaceted way. This podcast gives me hope for the future as you continue to reach others and change lives. Thank you for being the voice.

Our son was negatively impacted by violent pornography. He was caught watching it when he was 12 years old, and we didn’t have the right tools to properly talk to him at that time. Two years later, he sexually assaulted a girl. He simply acted out what he had been consuming over all those years. He didn’t stop watching it when we caught him, he just watched it more secretly. Now that we know more about the effects of pornography and what it’s doing to our youth, marriages, and minds, we try to educate as many people as possible.

I wish you had been around in the nineties and early 2000’s when I was a teen/young adult. I had so many partners that made me feel like there was something wrong with me for thinking that porn was degrading and harmful. I felt like nobody seemed to see what I was seeing, and I know now it’s so much worse and much more mainstream. It’s great that these conversations are happening more now! 👏👏👏 Thank you for doing the work to educate!

This is almost made me cry and crying isn’t something normal to me. What made me cry is this channel’s ideas and realities of porn changes my mind on how I think about it, which is why I almost cried watching this video. You guys are doing an excellent job!

Dear FTND, today is my two year “soberversary”. Two years ago, I almost destroyed my marriage, my life was turned upside down, and my deepest shame and secrets came to light. Two years ago, I broke my wife’s heart, and began to face the things inside of me. Two years later, we are still rebuilding, still trying to mend the tears. But we are still here. Thank you FTND for promoting love, and connection over objectification and consumption.

I love how simply the psychologists and neuroscientists explained the effects that porn has on the brain, it made it so easy to understand. I loved how the three people the first episode focused on were so blunt and open–that can be challenging to do sometimes.

I was exposed to porn as a young kid and am still struggling to take back my sexuality that porn so viciously took from me. Every time I relapse, I make a donation to an anti-porn non-profit in hopes that what happened to me can be prevented in future generations.

FTND has provided me with lots of information regarding the negative reality of the porn industry and the effects viewing pornography has on the consumer. Your website features really informative articles packed with science and facts on the truth about porn and how it affects things like the brain of the consumer, relationships, intimacy, and even society at large. I will support this cause for as long as I live and breathe on this planet. The fact that you aim to impact the most vulnerable of the population, youth, makes me feel like this work needs to continue so long as pornography remains a public health crisis.

The work you are doing to create awareness and tackle this massive issue is incredible! Thank you to everyone involved for your efforts. Over the years I have felt alone and isolated in my thoughts and feelings on how harmful porn is and it allows me to breathe a sigh of relief to finally live in a time where others are also speaking out about it and changing how it is perceived.

It feels great to contribute to something that’s helped me so much. When I discovered this amazing organization, I was really addicted to porn but wanted to quit. I ruined my relationship with my girlfriend at the time and pushed a lot of people away. Through FTND, I was able to conquer my addiction. I happened to stumble upon this website from a Google search. I’ll freely admit that when I first realized/discovered your site’s purpose, I immediately thought to myself, ‘It’s another one of those self-righteous “porn is bad” groups trying to tell people how to live.’ But once I read through your mission page, it became obvious that I was wrong. I’m actually very impressed by your goals that are the literal opposite of every other anti-porn group I’ve come across. Your stance of helping those who ask for it and respecting the freedoms of those who choose not to is extremely refreshing to see. I wish you luck!

Excellent! I am a leader in my community, looking to address the issue of porn in my small community, and based on what I see in these documentary episodes, I will most likely start with these.
