A COLLECTION OF GRATITUDE & IMPACT CURATED BY FIGHT THE NEW DRUG
Since 2009, we've given visibility to research and personal accounts demonstrating how pornography can negatively impact individuals, relationships, and society. Through this grassroots movement, millions of people have found hope and freedom. We couldn't do this without Fighters like you!
Thank you so much, I can’t tell you what a relief it is to see people talking about and doing something about this issue. I used to think I’d live in a world where I was the crazy one for not being okay with porn, and past boyfriends always wanted me to believe that every single guy was that way and I’d just have to get used to it. I saw how much it damaged my relationships, my self-esteem, and the men themselves, and it’s just so great to find your page. Thank you.
I believe that podcasts and organizations like this are just what we need. Porn has become such a prevalent issue in our society today, and being able to have challenging conversations and ones that might seem a bit awkward at first is exactly what we need to push ourselves outside of our comfort zones and focus instead on emotional healing and prevention from the damaging effects that porn can have.
I resonated with this docuseries so much. The world needs this so badly. Thank you for your hard work and for speaking out!
Very informative about the link between pornography, human trafficking, violence, and objectifying others. Good explanation of how porn impacts relationships negatively, especially when illustrated by real-life examples.
I’m just here to say thank you for educating people on what they’re consuming. If I hadn’t known about what really goes on in the pornography industry, I wouldn’t be free from it today. We always think it only has an affect on us, but watching porn sets off a whole chain reaction. I’ve been free for probably almost a year—I actually forgot when last I’ve consumed pornography! The. Best. Thing. I. Did. For. Myself. And. The. Whole. World!
Hi! I just wanted to say thank you. I’m 49 days clean and I’ve finally told my mum about it, and she’s being amazing. Keep doing an amazing job!
Thank you for all you do! Put this donation to good use fighting the new drug! I am a college student with not much to give, but I am passionate about this.
Hey, I watched your recent three-part documentary series on porn’s impacts. I wanted to say thanks for putting that together, and thanks for allowing us to access it for free!
Thank YOU so much! It’s amazing what you do, and you provide excellent and helpful materials and resources as well. For me, as a high school teacher in Switzerland, you’re a helping hand for supporting students who deal with questions and problems around these topics. All across the pond! So thanks again—I’m really proud to be a Fighter!
I found this documentary series really helpful and informative. I want to know more—I now feel I am not alone in a struggle with porn, which has been a part of my life for so long. Thank you.
“Fight for love.” You have no idea how this phrase is motivating me today. I've been struggling for more than 10 years with this addiction and it has been hard, falling again and again and again. But this movement came in a moment of darkness in my life when I thought there was no way out. My relationships were broken: girlfriend, family, and friends—all of them getting away because of my dark secret, and I couldn't understand exactly why until I found FTND. Then it all made sense and put in me hope. I'm still struggling, but the frequency is less than the past years. I have some dark days, but phrases like “fight for love” give me a goal and remind me how important and special I am. Thanks, FTND!
My husband told me he was an addict, and I became aware of the harms of porn from that. When I found your site, it helped me understand more and more about these harms and it motivated me to become a Fighter myself. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I now know that I want to be a health teacher to help inform young students and their parents about the harms of pornography.
Brain, Heart, World was very inspiring and it definitely helps you see how an addiction to porn can affect not just personality, but also your mental health. Great information.
It feels great to contribute to something that’s helped me so much. When I discovered this amazing organization, I was really addicted to porn but wanted to quit. I ruined my relationship with my girlfriend at the time and pushed a lot of people away. Through FTND, I was able to conquer my addiction. I happened to stumble upon this website from a Google search. I'll freely admit that when I first realized/discovered your site's purpose, I immediately thought to myself, ‘It's another one of those self-righteous “porn is bad” groups trying to tell people how to live.’ But once I read through your mission page, it became obvious that I was wrong. I'm actually very impressed by your goals that are the literal opposite of every other anti-porn group I've come across. Your stance of helping those who ask for it and respecting the freedoms of those who choose not to is extremely refreshing to see. I wish you luck!
Thank you so much for building this site! The education on this page and your website have grown my knowledge of pornography immensely. I wrote my senior research project on the negative impacts of porn use and use you guys as references for almost all of my points! Keep educating even though it’s a hard topic. We’re grateful for people like you to stand up and fight this drug.
